It's also about understanding what is important to you both as individuals. Being clear on what your boundaries and expectations are. Having the maturity to face into challenging conversations when needed.
There is no checklist or perfect approach to achieving a healthy relationship. Its all about balancing the needs between you, your partner and what you have together.
